Celebration service: 75 years of Baltic-German Refugee Aid celebrated

On December 3, 2022, one day before the second Advent, a moving event took place in the Matthäuskirche in Hanover Festival service on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Evangelical Aid Association e.V. instead. The special event was accompanied by the Werberettern® of MiU24® KG, who the anniversary in Image and sound held fast.

An anniversary full of gratitude and charity

The Matthäuskirche shone in festive splendor. With great love, diligent hands had decorated the church, prepared a buffet, and transformed the space into an atmosphere of cordiality. Among the guests were Pastor Matthias Hasselblatt, Pastorin Marx, and the board of the Evangelischer Hilfsverein, as well as living contemporary witnesses who had experienced the eventful history of the association.

The Evangelical Aid Association e.V., which has been there for refugees and those in need since its founding in 1947, has created a remarkable community of support and friendship over the years. The modern Matthäuskirche provided the perfect setting to celebrate this history while looking to the future.

Music, greetings, and a look ahead

The church service was musically accompanied by Cantor Thomas Dust on the organ and the Gospel choir „TonArt – gospel & more“ accompanied, which ensured emotional and impressive moments. Pastor Matthias Hasselblatt and Pastorin Marx led through the celebrations and looked both at the past and at future challenges, especially the staff shortage in social professions.

„It was an honor to capture this special moment and experience the warmth and charity of this association,“ said Jürgen La-Greca, Managing Director of MiU24® KG.

Special greetings, which expressed both gratitude and joy and pride, came from the association's board and invited guests. The day concluded with a reception with Vodka, Piroggen and a traditional soup.
