The winners can expect the 'Reach Package' worth 5,000 Euros, which will be divided among the three winners. § 1 Competition

The Regionalheld® is carried out and organized on behalf of MiU24® KG (hereinafter referred to as the client) in cooperation with pcma gmbh in their function as a trade fair partner of deGUT for a better society (hereinafter referred to as deGUT) based in Crellestr. 21, 10827 Berlin. The prizes are awarded by the client.

§ 2 Regional Hero® for Applicants

1. All regional projects from start-ups, companies, and successors who make a sustainable contribution to regional development are eligible to participate.
2. The competition for projects runs from 07/01/2024 to 10/01/2024 and is divided into three sections: an application phase, a qualification phase, and a final.
3. From 01.07.2024, a application phase without a voting function will take place, during which applications can be submitted. Each application will be manually reviewed by MiU24® and only then incorporated into the voting, provided there are no obvious grounds for exclusion according to § 4 of these terms and conditions. Only one application is possible per start-up, company and successor or institution, whereby several thematically related projects can be presented in one profile. After successful manual review, the project can be invited to the deGUT qualification phase.
4. In the qualification phase from 10/12/2024 at 12:00 PM to 10/12/2024 until 4:00 PM, pitching can be done without providing personal data.
5. From 10/12/2024, 4:00 PM to 10/12/2024, 5:00 PM, a final will take place among the 10 best-placed projects, which will be chosen by a jury on 10/12/2024 from 4:40 PM onwards in the marketplace.
6. The prize winner(s) will receive the following support:
   The 1st place winner will receive a reach package worth 2,500 Euros (gross).
   A reach package worth 1,500 Euros (gross) goes to 2nd place
   An reach package worth 1,000 Euros (gross) goes to 3rd place
   In the event of a tie, the corresponding prize money for the placement will be summed up and divided among the participants with the same number of votes. Subsequent placements will shift accordingly by the number of equally placed projects.
   In addition, all three prize winners will receive:
   A portrait on the website www.miu24.de and a mention on www.degut.de as well as the right to use the seal of approval Regionalheld® 2024 for advertising purposes.
   The advertising appearance will take place in the year 2025.

§ 3 Exclusion grounds for participating projects and companies from the competition

1. Project sponsors who offer material incentives such as free memberships or prize money for voting may be excluded from the competition.
2. Participants who do not meet the participation conditions under §2 are excluded from the competition.
3. Participants who communicate discriminatory, inhuman and/or racist ideas or reveal backgrounds that violate personal rights will be excluded from the competition without exception. There is no tolerance for this.
4. Participants whose board members are full-time or part-time employees of pcma gmbh are excluded from the competition.
5. Participants who demonstrably pursue radical and illegal goals are excluded from the competition.
6. Participants can be excluded from the competition immediately or retrospectively for important reasons. This is particularly the case in the event of a breach of these terms and conditions, as well as in the event of attempted or completed manipulation of the competition or attempted disruption or interference with the proper conduct of the competition. This may result in the revocation of a prize, if applicable.
7. The client reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition for company-specific reasons.

§ 4 Postponement of the Competition

1. We reserve the right to postpone, cancel or end the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. We will make use of this option in particular if proper execution of the competition cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons. If such termination is caused by the behavior of a participant or a project, MiU24® may demand compensation for the damage incurred from this person.

§ 5 Liability

1. MiU24® is released from all obligations upon handover of the prize, unless an earlier point in time arises from these regulations.
2. MiU24® is not liable for material defects and/or defects of title in the donated prize.
3. MiU24® is liable only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence or by the breach of essential contractual obligations. This does not apply to damages caused by injury to life, body and/or health.

§ 6 Data Protection

1. The data required for registration within the meaning of these participation conditions is subject to the competition's data protection policy, which can be accessed here.
2. By registering for the competition, applicants agree to be informed about the progress of the competition and subsequent competitions via email to the email address provided during registration.
3. The participating persons can view and correct the stored personal data at any time by requesting it from MiU24® GmbH for a more regional company, Heinrichsplatz 10, 38350 Helmstedt or by email to info@miu24.de. This aforementioned declaration of consent can be revoked at any time in writing to MiU24® at the aforementioned address or by email to info@miu24.de.

§ 7 Prohibited Content

1. By participating, participants undertake to only use images in their profile that do not infringe the rights of third parties (right to one's own image, copyrights, trademark rights, general personality rights). Furthermore, only images that do not contain any impermissible content may be used. Impermissible content is listed below:
   Right to one's own image: Due to infringement of copyright, personality, art, or trademark rights, recordings of persons, branded articles, or public buildings may only be used after the affected parties have approved the use or if the consent of the rights holders has been obtained. Images of children may only be used in profiles if the consent of the parents is available.
   Copyright: Logos, texts, photos, images, graphics, etc. may only be used if the participants are authorized to use them. This is the case if the participants are the ones who took the photo or if they have obtained the consent of the photographers or other authorized persons. Scanned photos from newspapers, books, etc. and photos from other websites are protected by copyright and may not be uploaded without the consent of the rights holders. The same applies to all copyrighted works, whether they are texts, images, logos, graphics, etc. These may also only be uploaded if the participants have previously obtained the corresponding usage rights from the copyright holder or other authorized person.
2. In the event of a potential infringement of third-party rights, the content will be immediately removed from the website without prior hearing of the respective participant until the matter is clarified. § 8 Miscellaneous

1. The participants of the competition transfer the temporally and spatially unrestricted usage rights of the descriptions (texts), images, photos, and other content submitted as part of the application to the client and MiU24® for the purpose of conducting the competition. The client and MiU24® are therefore particularly entitled to publish the applicants by name on the promotional website Regionalheld®.de within the scope of the project description, as well as to publicly reproduce and use the submitted descriptions (texts), images, photos, and other content in the appropriate place, such as the client's social media channels.
2. Legal recourse is excluded.
3. Only the law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
4. Should individual provisions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions of participation shall remain unaffected.
5. Cash payment is excluded.
